βœ… The Power of Checklists

Two weekends ago, we were at the baseball fields (shocking) and our oldest was looking for something to eat. If you have ever been in the baseball world, you know it's a full day event. When we leave in the morning, you'd think we were packing for a weekend trip.

There are the chairs, the wagon, the scooters, dolls and activities for the girls and of course the cooler full of snacks and food for the day.

Baseball games have the "snack shack" that I loathe. It's full of candy and all of the things you don't want your kids having hence the reason why we always pack a cooler.

Plus, you can easily blow through $50 from all the things.

Well, two weekends ago when my husband packed the cooler, our oldest wasn't thrilled. It was the "there's nothing I like in there" line that I heard about fifty times.

When I went and looked in the cooler, I wondered where all the food was and actually understood where she was coming from. The pantry was full of food when I left so it had to be somewhere right πŸ€”

I asked my husband if something happened at home before he left, thinking he must've left in a rush and didn't have time to grab the rest of the food which was partly the case. But it was also the distraction of the other kids and thinking the cooler was packed.

It was after that weekend, I decided what I should've done probably two seasons ago was make a checklist. Now we can cross it off the list rather than trying to be a superhero remembering it all.

I live and swear by them for everything.

Checklists allow us to organize our thoughts, helps us things get done, and makes sure nothing is forgotten.

There's nothing more annoying when you plan on not having to buy something and then you have to because you forgot it. Checklists make sure this doesn't happen.

Snack shack, you ain't got nothing on us now 😌

The wild month of May. It’s like riding a rollercoaster, your up, down, and holding on for dear life. It really is the December of the first half of the year. The end of the school year has all the schedules turned upside down with class parties, concerts, themed weeks, sport schedules and games, what else am I forgetting?! πŸ˜‰ We've been knee deep in some pretty big moves here in Charlotte. Moving is a HUGE undertaking. We personally have moved a handful of times and as someone who loves being...

Last week I hopped on the Peloton to start a workout. For whatever reason, the bike was not syncing to the internet. I did the routine turn off and turn on the machine, plus unplugged it. Did this a few times and nothing worked. At this point, I'm close to 10-minutes into my workout time and haven't started a thing. I knew calling tech support was the next step but didn't have the time or patience to deal with it so I finally decided to do my own workout. As someone who grew up playing sports...

This past week I was at my sisters helping her recover from another successful procedure, thank the good Lord! It was a short trip so there wasn’t much with me. As I packed up to leave yesterday and was planning out the day, I noticed there were only 40 minutes to get to the connecting flight. You might be thinking β€œ40 minutes” oh that’s plenty of time. Enter the airport letters ATL and now you know what I mean when I say only 40 minutes is nothing with that airport. As I was thinking about...
